The Valleys of the Assassins, Trekking through the Alborz to the Caspian Sea, RudKhan Castle , Masuleh

The northern part of the Alborz Mountains is covered with Caspian sea forests . There are many villages in the Alborz mountains . Hiking in Iran is very amazing. There are many beautiful mountain routs between these villages. Especially the trekking routes from the south of the Alborz Mountains to the north. There are many amazing trails in the depths of the forest that flow through the forest villages and lakes.

You can explore the villages around, taste local cuisine, socialize with local people and stay in their homes. On the way to the Caspian you will visit a beautiful lake “Ovan” having the chance of staying with local people and tasting their food.

In the second part of the trip we will visit Masuleh which is a historical village attracting many tourists because of its architecture and people. Masouleh is surrounded by forest from valley to mountain and fog is the predominate weather feature of Masouleh. In this trip you will also have the chance to visit Rudkhan castle, which is a medieval brick and stone castle built on two tips of a mountain.

• Day 1: Arrival – Free day in Tehran

  Upon arrival in a Hotel in Tehran, You will check-in to your hotel. Overnight Tehran (B) Based on our experience many of travelers arrive around midnight and would need to sleep well before starting the journey. You can relax in your hotel after your flight or if you have arrived earlier you have the option of exploring the capital city by yourself. Overnight Tehran

• Day 2: Tehran to Alamut Valley-Trekking

  Our Advanture guide will greet you after your breakfast and drive towards the city of Ghazvin. We will be at Alamut valley around noon time – Visiting the Alamut historical castle of Assassins & also Evan lake then Garmaroud village (B, L, D). Overnight stay in local house

• Day 3: Start trekking up 1

  Today we will pick an old historical trail through the mountains and work our way up to (trekking up to) Dineroud village (B, L, D). Overnight stay in local house

• Day 4: Trekking day 2

  After breakfast at 7:30 A.M we will hike our way through some spectacular scenery towards another beautiful and old village (Pijebon village (3200 M), Overnight stay in local house.(B, L, D)

• Day 5: Trekking day 3

  We have Trekking to the Maran village in 3000 valley, There are lots of attractions in the north of Iran which according to the time of your travel, climate and local situation you will see some of them Overnight stay in local house. (B, L, D)

• Day 6: Explore the Caspian Sea

  Visit the Caspian sea coast & Full day exploring tour, visiting tea plantation and rice fields, Walking tour in Masuleh Village. Overnight stay in hotel (B, L, D)

• Day 7: Hiking in Rudkhan Castle, Rasht sightseeing tour and back to Tehran

  We have 3 hours hiking to the Rudkhan castle, Half day exploring tour Drive to Anzali lagoon Visit the Amazing lagoon & then Drive to Tehran Overnight in hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Fly back home.
